Cancer Society Hosts “Bike To Battle Cancer” July 31

SPRINGFIELD — The Ozark Mountains are no challenge for bikers participating in the third annual American Cancer Society Bike to Battle Cancer taking place Saturday, July 31, at Finley River Park, Ozark, Mo.
This noncompetitive bike ride features three distance levels so the entire family can participate at their comfort level. At 7 a.m. the 100k and 50k rides begin, followed by a family fun ride at 9 a.m. Lunch by Rib Crib and local entertainment will be provided to riders to celebrate the completion of the ride.
Bikers can be assured a fun and safe ride through the Ozarks, as helmets are required. Bike shops, support and gear wagons and volunteer zone monitors will all be on hand along the route as well as rest stops every 10-12 miles.
Money raised goes to help the Society’s work to save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
