The 34th Burks, Barnum, Haynes family reunion was held Saturday, July 24 at the Southside Senior Citizens Center in Springfield.
The family reunion is a time when relatives scattered across the country converge to share memories and just simply visit.
The ancestral origins, the progenitors who started this reunion are from the hills and hollers of the headwaters of Beaver Creek in Douglas County.
There were approximately 75 in attendance. Some of the active children failed to be registered, but they were enumerated in the headcount.
