William B. Pool Sr., of Nashville, Tenn., died July 18, 2010.
Willie was born June 18, 1937, and was raised in the Gentryville area.
Bill was a big fan of bluegrass music. He played banjo, fiddle and guitar. Some of his great memories were driving the bus of Bill Monroe and Marty Robbins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Elva Walker Pool.
He is survived by Gayle Raby; sons, William B. Pool Jr. and Virgil R. Pool; daughters, Elva Isbell, Kathy Henson and Charlotte Roberts; a brother, James Spencer; sisters, Lydia J. Calhoun and Theresa J. Savage; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was also survived by many cousins in the Ava and Mtn. Grove area.
Funeral services were July 21 at Ellis Funeral Home with burial in Nashville, Tenn.
