Charles Wayne Goodnight, age 76, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010, in Cox Medical Center South.
He was born March 26, 1934, in Douglas County, Mo., to Charles and Rae (Davis) Goodnight.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Denzil, Webster and Carl; and two sisters, Wanda Ross and Freda Simmons.
He is survived by his wife, Etta Goodnight; three children, Linda Ardnall, Terry Goodnight, and Bryant Goodnight and wife Joyce; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Elizabeth, James and Noble; numerous great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Faith Haskins, Naida Haden and Kathleen Nash.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2010, in Greenlawn North Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Haden officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
