Our community correspondent for the Tecumseh and Lilly Ridge area is Linnie Ingram. Linnie, who has been writing a column for the Herald for many years, says that it has been “perhaps 20 years”.
Linnie lives half-way between Tecumseh and the Lilly Ridge community which is 3 miles east of Gainesville. She has lived her life in the Ozarks.
Linnie traveled extensively with her first husband, Eldon Pitcock. She accompanied him to many job locations, and during their travels had the opportunity to enjoy visits to Kansas, New Mexico, Montana and Whiteman AFB in Knobnoster.
Together Linnie and Eldon had four children.
After Eldon died in 1971, Linnie married Glen Ingram and they were married 25 years before his death in 1997.
Linnie is a very active person and keeps busy with her church activities, Eastern Star, clubs and community work.
In 2009, Linnie was honored, and presented a plaque, by the Lilly Ridge Extension Club for her 70-year membership in the group.
