Men’s Choir From Teen Challenge Will Perform Sunday at Methodist Church

The New Creations Men’s Choir from Teen Challenge International of Mid-America will be featured at the Ava United Methodist Church this Sunday, July 11, at 10:30 a.m.
The church is located at 941 SW 4th Ave.
This concert includes contemporary and traditional gospel music, drama and testimonials of how they found their way out of drug abuse and other life controlling problems.
Formed in March 1973, The New Creations have appeared at high school assemblies, civic auditoriums, district, state and national gatherings, outdoor arenas, parks, and churches of many denominations throughout the United States and Canada.
Choir members are presently students at a 10-month regional Teen Challenge faith based recovery program with emphasis on Christian growth and development. It is located on a 362-acre farm seven miles north of Cape Girardeau.
This men’s choral ensemble is currently directed by Philip Breithaupt, a well-known gospel soloist who has traveled and directed choral groups for the Teen Challenge organization for over 32 years.
Teen Challenge, founded by David Wilkerson and now over 48 years in existence, is hailed as the best program to get a person off drugs, according to a U.S. government funded study directed by Catherine Hess, M.D., and conducted by the National Opinion and Research Center.
The public is cordially invited to attend this concert.
