We had some great programs last month at the Douglas County Public Library. We were thoroughly entertained by Professor Farquar and the Great American Medicine Show, David Tower and his magic, and Daisy Shull with her chalk talk stories.
There are two more special programs coming up in August that you won’t want to miss. Dwayne and Barbara Smith will return Thursday, Aug. 5, at 7 p.m., with entertaining songs and comic stories from the Ozarks and British Isles. This couple has been here before, and we know you will enjoy their show. Thursday, Aug. 12, at 7 p.m., the Ozark Mountain Players will present some excerpts from their performance of Laura’s Memories. Based on the life and stories of Laura Ingalls Wilder. I know you will enjoy this local group of performers, so make plans now to attend.
If you are looking for something for the kids to do this summer, we would like to remind everyone that we are still showing children’s movies every Wednesday morning at 10 a.m.
