On Tuesday night members of the Douglas County Farm Bureau met with Estil Fretwell, director of public affairs with Missouri Farm Bureau.
The meeting was SWAT (Spokespersons Working for Agriculture Together) training.
Estil taught the members how to explain to the public what farmers really do and how well they do it.
Most people know little about agriculture and some actually think their food comes from a grocery store.
Farm Bureau is working hard to let people know the real facts behind farming.
