Beryl Franklin Smith, 67 years, passed away on June 22, 2010 at his home in Ava.
Beryl was born Feb. 28, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa, to Beryl W. and Virginia B. (Fetters) Smith/ Patterson.
Beryl was raised in Des Moines until he moved to Mesa, Ariz. with Mr. and Mrs. James Cooper. Beryl returned to Des Moines to care for his mother when she became ill in mid-1990. After her passing he moved to Ava.
He was an employee of Experience Works which led him to work as a janitor a few hours a day, at the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office up until the time of his death.
Beryl is preceded in death by his father, Beryl W. Smith and his mother, Virginia B. Patterson (Fetters/Smith).
He leaves behind a twin brother, Meryl Smith, another brother, Earl Smith, and a sister, Virginia Smith (Miller) and many nieces and nephews.
