A resident of the Ava moving from Waterloo, Iowa Jaimie Todd Walker, son of James Doyle Walker and Geraldine (Barnum) Walker, was born on Nov. 18, 1963 at Waterloo, Iowa, and passed away on Aug. 2, 2009 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, Mo., at the age of 45 years.
Todd was a resident of the Ava community for a few years moving from Waterloo, Iowa. He worked for 20 years with the Aramark Co. at the John Deere PEC in Waterloo.
On May 3, 1986 Todd and Lisa Pieper were united in marriage in Nashua, Iowa and to this union two children were born. Todd loved fishing and being in the outdoors. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and was an avid Denver Broncos fan.
Todd was a Christian and had been baptized in the Lutheran Church.
Todd was preceded in death by his father, James Doyle Walker; one brother, Wade Walker, and infant twin brothers.
He is survived by two children, Nicole Walker and Brandon Walker, both of Waterloo, Iowa; his mother, Geraldine Barnum Walker, Ava; one sister, Erin Ulm, West Plains, Mo.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services for Todd were held Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 11 a.m. at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Robert Roberts officiating. Interment followed in the Dogwood Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday, 10 a.m. to service time.
