She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, her Bible, and family Mary Marie Lawrence, 75 years, passed to heaven on July 10, 2009 with her family by her side at Skaggs Community Health Center in Branson.
Marie was born July 11, 1933 in Yakima, Wash., to Clyde Vesta and Goldie (Melton) Floyd. Marie was employed as a postmistress with the U.S. Postal Service in Bradleyville and Bruner. Marie was raised in the Bradleyville community.
Marie and Junior Lawrence were united in marriage in 1948 in Arkansas and to this union three children were born.
Marie was a member of Bradleyville Church of the Nazarene.
Marie enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading her Bible and most of all spending time with all her family.
Marie was preceded by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Marie is survived by two sons, Joel and Jeanie Lawrence, Ava, and Jeff and Beth Lawrence, McClurg; one daughter, Shirley Counts, Kirbyville; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Leon Floyd, Forsyth; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Tuesday, July 14, at 2 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with burial in the Dann Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday, from 1 p.m. to service time in the funeral home.
