Dorothy enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren Dorothy L. Wiebel, 84, of Hampton, Ill., passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline, Ill.
A memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. today (Thursday, July 2), at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Moline where she and her husband and children are members.
Dorothy was born Nov. 25, 1924, in Ava, Mo., the daughter of Walter “Doc” and Minnie Cox Hicks. She married Harry Wiebel Nov. 2, 1963. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and reading the Bible.
Survivors include her daughters, Sherian Singleton Robinson, of DeWitt, Ark., and Cheryl Frye (Mike) McLaughlin, of Hampton, Ill.; grandchildren Sheba Snyder, Porter Gill, and Sheria Gill, all of Alaska, Frankie Dobbins and Sam Dobbins of the Quad Cities, and Tera Elliott of Hampton, Ill.; several great- and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Leonard Wayne Singleton, four brothers and four sisters.
