
He enjoyed music, playing his guitar, visiting with people Oscar Cloin Dickison, 73 years, passed to heaven on June 5, 2009 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO. Cloin was born Dec. 29, 1935 in Richville, Mo., to Leonard and Josie (Alsup) Dickison.
Cloin was a farmer and grew up in Douglas County. He enjoyed bluegrass music and loved playing and singing with his guitar. Cloin enjoyed visiting with people and especially going out to Wal-Mart. He was a Christian and a member of the Ava General Baptist Church in Ava.
Cloin was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John and Chalmer Dickison, and one nephew, Larry Dean Dickison.
Cloin is survived by one brother and wife, Lyle and Marybelle Dickison, Ava; sister-in-law, Evelyn Dickison, Ava; two nephews, Charles Dickison, Willow Springs, and Lynn Dickison, Springfield; three nieces, Marie Bristol and Brenda Dye, both of Ava, and Linda Bass, Rogersville.
Funeral services for Cloin were held Monday, June 8, at 2 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with burial in the Pleasant Mound Cemetery, Richville, Mo. Visitation was Sunday, June 7, from 4 to 5 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating were Pastor Oren Alcorn and Pastor Dennis Shumate.
