
He enjoyed rebuilding old Willey Jeeps Harold Clifford Hall, son of Everett Hall and Orva Giffin Hall, was born on July 20, 1928 in Douglas County, Mo., and passed away with his family by his side on May 29, 2009, in Springfield, Mo., at the age of 80 years.
Harold was an electrician with Ava City Utilities in the 1950′s and later moved to Springfield and worked with the City Utilities for over 20 years. After he retired he bought a Kenworth Truck and drove over the road into his 70s. Harold enjoyed rebuilding old Willey Jeeps. He was a member of the Electrical Workers Union and was of the Pentecostal Faith.
In 1944 Harold and Stella Anderson were united in marriage and to this union four sons were born. Later, in 1959, Harold and Glenda Walker were united in marriage and to this union two daughters were born. Glenda preceded him in death in 2005.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Catherine Hall; and one brother, Robert.
He is survived by four sons, Clifford and Shirley Hall, Springfield, Larry Hall, Sparta, Darrell and Joyce Hall, and Jerry and Gayla Hall, all of Springfield; two daughters, Sheila and Butch Scott, Ava, and Tracy and Billy Hunter, Springfield; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services for Harold were Monday, June 1, at 11 a.m. at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Junior Hall officiating. Interment followed in the Dyer Cemetery.
Visitation was Monday from 10 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. The family requests memorials to the Dyer Cemetery.
