Zook was very well known, well-liked and had many friends A musical memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at Bailey’s Street Cafe in Theodosia for John Melvin Zook, who died Sunday, May 3, 2009, at his Theodosia residence. He was 87 years old.
John was born May 19, 1921, in Oakland Mills, Pa., one of eight siblings. John and his wife, Jean, moved to Theodosia in 1978, where he established a business selling advertising items to businesses, merchants and political candidates. He was very well known in the area and had many friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville.
