She enjoyed fishing and keeping her yard pretty Edna Nance, age 94, of Ozark, passed away April 24, 2009. She was born July 10, 1914 in Chadwick, the daughter of John and Dulcenia (Hursh) Gray.
She was united in married to Lloyd James Nance who preceded her in death in 1985.
Edna was employed by the Ava Market for several years. She was a Baptist by faith. She fished whenever she could and enjoyed keeping her yard pretty. In the past Edna, handcrafted beautiful floral arrangements for cemeteries. Although she had no children of her own, she always loved being around them.
Survivors include: six nieces, Dorothy Fern Clark, Colorado, Melverine Armour and husband Daryel, Ava, Irene Adams and husband Tilford, Indiana, Lorene Rantz and husband C.C., Cedar Creek, and Fern Pickett and husband, Bob, Chadwick; a nephew, Cleo Hawkins and wife Joyanne, Indiana; and many great-, great-great- and great-great-great- nieces and nephews.
Two nephews preceded her in death, Almus Gray and Leonard Gray.
A graveside funeral was Sunday in Old Boston Cemetery, Oldfield with Rev. Carnel “Bally” Johnson officiating, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
