Always cheerful, loved by family and will be greatly missed Stella Bell Miller, 91, passed to heaven on April 5, 2009 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, Mo. Stella was born Jan. 9, 1918 in Douglas County, Mo., to Charlie and Blanche (Hutchins) Ritter.
Stella was a homemaker.
Stella and George Valentine Miller were united in marriage on Oct. 9, 1946 in Mountain Home, Ark., and to this union two children were born.
Stella served as secretary for the Dyer Cemetery for several years. Stella was a Christian. She enjoyed quilting and cooking. She also delighted in reading and being with her family. She was always cheerful and was loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
Stella was preceded by her parents; her husband, George in 1984; three brothers and one sister.
Stella is survived by two children, James Miller, Ava, Mo., and Theda Sanders and husband, Leo, Leasburg, Mo.; two grandchildren, Tritonia Sanders, and Leslie Coffman and husband Rob; one great-grandson, Josiah Coffman; one brother, Bob Ritter, Bettendorf, Iowa; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Stella were Wednesday, April 8, at 2 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with burial in the Dyer Cemetery. Officiating was the Rev. Junior Hall.
