He was a veteran of World War II Loy Turner, 87, died March 8 in his Bolivar home.
He was born Oct. 12, 1921, in Smallett, to Omar and Della Turner Wilson. He married Vivian Peterson and they had one son and one daughter.
He was a veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leo Turner, Norman Turner and Lewis Turner; and a sister, Helena Frost.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years; his children, Norman Turner and wife, Sharon, and daughter, Lana Seigneur and husband, Fred; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were held in Bolivar at Butler Funeral Home on March 12.
