A United States Air Force/Army veteran Graveside services with full military honors for Clifford W. Burchell Sr., age 72, of Branson, Mo., were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Mo., with the Revs. Charles Cottrell and Doyne “Butch” McCleary officiating.
He died at 8 p.m, Thursday, March 5, 2009, at his home in Branson. He was born on May 27, 1936 in Ava, Mo., the son of Lloyd Earl Burchell Sr. and Ethel Mary Martin Burchell. He was a United States Air Force/Army veteran. He was an ordained Pentecostal minister.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Jane Purtle Burchell, of the home; a sister, Mary Ruth Nall and husband, Harold, of Selah, Washington, a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Henderson, of Grand Saline, Texas; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Clifford Wayne Burchell Jr., one brother, Lloyd Earl Burchell Jr., and one sister, Brenda Ruth Helms.
