
Billie especially enjoyed his family and grandchildren. Billie J. Conrad, 67 years, passed to heaven on March 2, 2009 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Mo. Billie was born June 15, 1941 in Ava, Mo., to Glennie and Esther (Graham) Conrad.
Billie was a construction laborer. On Sept. 16, 1961, Billie and Mary Ray were united in marriage in Kansas City, Mo., and to this union three sons were born.
Billie was a Christian and attended the Faith Rock Church for the past five years and had formerly attended the Murray Church for many years. Billie enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and watching the martins. He also enjoyed watching the Cardinal baseball team and especially being with his family and grandchildren.
Billie was preceded by his parents.
Billie is survived by wife, Mary Conrad, Wasola; three sons and their spouses, Tracy and Betty Conrad, Squires, Curtis and Desiree Conrad, Ava, and Terry Conrad, Squires; and 12 grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Boyd Conrad, Ava, Burl Conrad, Mansfield, and Bruce Conrad, Fordland; two sisters, Beverly Hamilton, Willard, and Betty Smith, Cedar Gap; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 5, at 2 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with burial in the Murray Cemetery. Officiating were the Revs. Robert Grisham and Rev. Graham.
