
A dedicated homemaker and skilled seamstress Thelma Hall Boyce Pierce, 84, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 6:29 a.m. in Maranatha Village. She was born Oct. 6, 1924, in Ava, Missouri.
Thelma was a dedicated homemaker and sales representative. She was a member of the Oak Grove Assembly of God Church for over 30 years. Thelma was a skilled seamstress creating beautiful quilts and stylish clothing. She also enjoyed flower gardening.
She was preceded in death by her father, Andy Hall, her mother, Gladys Letsinger Hall, husband, Howard Boyce, brothers, Clarence, Basil, Melvin, and Dale, as well as sister, Ruth Odle.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Pierce; daughter, Sharon Isaacs and husband Everett, of Springfield, Mo., son, Ernest Pierce and wife, Anna, of Springfield, Mo., and daughter, Patsy Moore and husband, Larry of Ava, Mo.; stepdaughters Betsy Boyce and husband, Ron Ching, of Kansas City, and Sarah Farmer and husband, Dennis, of Poplar Bluff; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers Herman Hall and wife, Lorah, of Rogersville, Mo., and Harold Hall and wife, Carolyn, of Stockton, Mo.; many nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral service was held in the Green Lawn North Chapel in Springfield, on Feb. 6 with burial in the Holland Cemetery of Rogersville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of Thelma’s long fight with the disease.
