She loved outings at the creek, and family get-togethers Anna Lou Caudill, 70 years, passed to heaven on Feb. 14, 2009 at Magnolia Square in Springfield, Mo., with her family by her side. Anna was born Nov. 24, 1938 in Dora, Mo., to Josephine (Hicks).
Anna and Delbert Caudill were united in marriage on May 1, 1977 in Ava, Mo. Anna was a Christian and loved attending the Sweden Church. She worked for Hagale Industries in Ava for several years as a machine operator and also had worked for Dora, Vanzant and West Plains Head Start.
Anna loved outings at the creek, family get togethers, hunting for mushrooms and ginseng. She also enjoyed gardening. She was a member of the Honeybee Singers of Ava. She loved being with her family and friends.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Caudill, in 2001; her mother, Josephine (Hicks) Suggs; two sisters, Patricia Harvey and Brenda Suggs Hill; one brother, William Ellis Suggs; and her grandparents that raised her, Nuel and Tellie Hicks.
Anna is survived by seven children and their spouses, Larry and Leanne Thompson, Everton, Mo., Ronnie Thompson, Dora, Mo., Debbie and John Pimentel, Dixon, Mo., Mary and Richard Turnbull, Mtn. Grove, Mo., Gary Thompson, Vanzant, Mo., Cindy Boehm, Salem, Ark., and Danny and Renee Thompson, Villa Rica, Ga.; four stepchildren, Terry and Timmy Caudill and Ricky and Jimmy Lee Thompson; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Richard Lynn Suggs, Plentywood, Mont., Robert Suggs, Cowgill, Mo., and Earl Suggs, Sparta, Mo; four sisters, Dorothy Phillips, Bruner, Mo., Rita Ege, Ozark, Mo., Linda Medlock, Sparta, Mo., and Lora Mae Massey, of West Plains, Mo.; a special cousin that she was raised with, Carolyn Hutchison and Darrel; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Anna were Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 2 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with burial in the Hall (Ongo) Cemetery. Visitation was Monday, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating were Missionary Steven Turnbull, Rev. Robert Grisham and Rev. Marvin Loftin. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, American Cancer Society or Hall (Ongo) Cemetery.
