Born on Aug. 8, 1935 near Evansdale, Mo. Norma Jean Simpson, daughter of Clark and Lillie (Freeman) Lambert, was born on Aug. 8, 1935 near Evansdale, Mo., and passed away on Jan. 26, 2009 at Phoenix, Ariz.
Norma married Kent Simpson in Davenport, Iowa, in 1957 and to this union four sons and one daughter were born.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Twanie Simpson; two brothers, Emertt and Lowell Lambert; and two sisters, Jessie Page and Gwen Tetrick.
She is survived by four sons, Lee Willard Simpson, David and Mary Simpson, and Erick Simpson, all of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mark and Rebecca Simpson, Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Freeda Holt, Ava, and Sue Christenson, Mtn. Grove; two brothers, Joe and Norma Lambert, East Moline, Ill., and David and Pam Lambert, Highlandville; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial service will be Sunday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m. at Evansdale Community Church. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Evansdale Church. Burial will be at a later date and time.
