Maurice D. Bair, 92

He enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing and gardening Maurice D. Bair, 92, Rueter, passed away Dec. 28 at his residence. He was born Sept. 10, 1916, in Lyndon, Kan., the son of William and Mildred Bair.

Maurice married Katherine Goetz in Arizona on Aug. 17, 1941. Together they reared two sons in California. Maurice served in the Army during World War II. He moved to Ozark in 1980. Maurice was a member of the Fairview Church where he played the piano. He enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his sons, Eugene A. Bair, of California, and Donald Bair and wife, Nancy, of Oldfield; one grandchild, Shawna Bair, of Hartville; and two great-grandchildren, Tayler and Owen Dobbs.

Maurice was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Bair, two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 2, at 11 a.m., at the Forsyth Whelchel Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery at Rueter.
