She spent her youth in the Hammond area Donna M. Pippin, the daughter of Laborn Pippin and Elizabeth (Barnett) Pippin, was born Aug. 5, 1938 in Hammond, Mo., and departed this life Dec. 23, 2008 at the age of 70 years 4 months and 18 days.
Donna spent her youth in the Hammond area attending Shiloh and North View schools and was a resident of West Plains, Mo., for the past eight months, moving there from Drury, Mo. Donna worked in the local sheltered workshop for many years. Donna had a green thumb and enjoyed growing flowers; she also loved her cats and would take care of strays and always enjoyed seeing relatives and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Survivors include, one brother, Russell and wife, Ethel Pippin, of Mound City, Kan.; nieces Phyllis and Wanda and their children Kimberly and Brian, Wanda Sue, Brenda, and Chris.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at the Thornfield Cemetery, Thornfield, Mo., with Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating.
