She loved quilting, reading, canning fruits and vegetables Hazel Huffman was born July 4, 1928 in Brown Branch, Mo., and departed this life Nov. 29, 2008 at the age of 80 years. She is the daughter of William Whittaker and Maria Stamp Whittaker.
Hazel was a resident of the Seymour area for the past 16 years moving here from Forsyth. She spent all of her life in the Ava, Forsyth, and Brown Branch area. Hazel was employed as a nurses aide. She loved quilting, reading, canning fruits and vegetables.
In 1949 Hazel and George W. Huffman were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, Ark.
Hazel and George were blessed with three children.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Samuel Huffman and a great-grandson.
Her survivors include two daughters, Margaret E. Huffman, Gatewood, Mo., and Mary and James Tate, Ava, Mo.; two grandchildren, Gloria Huffman and Enola Anderson; two great-grandsons; one brother, Bill Whitaker, Ava, Mo.; and a host of other friends and relatives.
