Survived by her husband of 72 years, Roy E. Tharp Minnie L. Tharp, 93, of Kansas City, passed away Sunday. Sept. 14, 2008. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens with a visitation at the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Floral Hills Chapel.
Minnie is survived by her husband of 72 years, Roy E. Tharp; three sons, Robert, James, and Michael Tharp; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces.
Roy Tharp was Ava High School band director in the 1940s.
