A resident of the area for the past 10 years Susan Louise Haase, the daughter of Walter Tietz and Lilian Edith (Schumacher) Tietz, was born Oct. 8, 1948, in Santa Monica, Calif., and departed this life Oct. 15, 2008 at the age of 60 years and 7 days.
Susan was a resident of the area for the past 10 years, moving here from Nipomo, Calif. On July 4, 1987, Susan and Chester E. Haase were united in marriage in Las Vegas, Nev. Susan was a homemaker and she enjoyed scrap booking, quilting, doll making, crafts and her computer.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents.
Her survivors include her husband, Chester, of the home, Oldfield; four children, Tony Hord, Jody Hord, Chris Hord, all of Redding Calif., and Kimmy Quinlan, Winston Salem, N.C.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Ron Tietz, Henderson, Nev.; and one sister, Janet Sanders, La Canada, Calif.; and other relatives and friends.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating.
