Bobby enjoyed deer hunting and fishing Bobby Osburn, son of Willie Osburn and Marie Cunningham, was born on Jan. 1, 1942, in Ava and departed this life on August 28, 2008 at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 27 days old.
On Aug. 17, 1963, Bobby and Connie Sue Thomas were united in marriage, and to this union two children, Joan Hampton and Billy Osburn, were born.
Bobby especially enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Willie Osburn.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Osburn; daughter, Joan Hampton, Taneyville; son, Billy and Susan Osburn, of Ava; and two grandchildren, Eldon and wife, Melissa, and Sheri Hampton. Other survivors include his mother, Marie Osburn, Ava; three brothers, Melvin and Pat Osburn, Ava, Gale and Wanda Osburn, Oldfield, and Ronnie and Sheila Osburn, of Rogersville; and one sister, Norene and Johnny Cline, Forsyth; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava on Tuesday Sept. 2, at 10 a.m., with the Revs. Tom Johnson and Gale Osburn officiating. Interment followed at the Stillings Cemetery.
