Son of Christopher Columbus and Carrie Mae Nelson Crumley Huey Allen Crumley, 86, of Marston, Mo., died Saturday, July 26, at his home.
He was born Aug. 22, 1921, at Lawrenceburg, Tenn., the son of Christopher Columbus and Carrie Mae Nelson Crumley.
On Feb. 3, 1940, he was married at Portageville to Mary Doris, who preceded him in death on July 2, 1996.
Also preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Jackie Crumley; brothers Howard Crumley, Elmer Crumley and Dallas Crumley; and a sister, Willie Mae Crumley.
He was a member of the JY Church of God.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmie Crumley, of Spencer, Ind., and James Crumley, of Ellisville; two daughters, Carol Penrod, of Portageville, and Paulette Combs, of Bradleyville; a brother, Donald Gene Crumley, of Hayti, Mo.; sisters, Leora Curtis, of Stanley, Mo., Christine, of Kennett, Irene, of St. Louis, and Opal Hardesty, of Spencer, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, at DeLisle Funeral Home, Portageville, with the Rev. Danny Stephens officiating. Burial was in Portageville Cemetery.
His grandsons served as pallbearers.
