A graduate of Drury University, loved gardening Memorial service for Fena L. Johnston, of Lakeview, Ark., was held July 22, at Bethel Baptist Church, with Pastor Patrick Norris officiating.
Fena Johnston died Friday, July 18, 2008, in Lakeview, Ark., at the age of 70. She was born Sunday, Sept. 26, 1937, in Douglas County, Missouri, the daughter of Otis Collins and Myrtle Tetrick. She married Herb Johnston on Nov. 7, 1996 at Harrison, Ark.
Fena lived in Lakeview, moving from Russellville, Ark. She was a graduate of Drury University with a degree in sociology and had been administrative assistant for Douglas County Health Dept. in Ava. She loved gardening.
Fena Johnston is survived by her husband, Herb Johnston; brothers, Charles (Laverne) Collins, of Fairview, Mo., and Dexter (Lynn) Collins, of Buffalo, Iowa; two sisters, Bonnie Haskell and Mary (Johnnie) Crain, both of Muscatine, Iowa; stepchildren, Herbert Curtis (Cathy) Johnston, of St. Charles, Linda Heyse, of Orlando, Fla., and Scott (Susan) Johnston, of St. Peters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Don Collins and Dale Haskell; a sister, Marie Hicks, and infant twin sister, Relda Collins.
