She enjoyed fishing and time with grandchildren Linda Scott, the daughter of Johnny William Dobbs and Gladys (Leroy) Dobbs, was born Dec. 6, 1960 in Springfield, and departed this life March 6, 2008 at the age of 47 years and 3 months.
Linda was a life long resident of Ava. In 1981 Linda and David Scott were united in marriage. Linda was a housewife and enjoyed being out doors. She enjoyed fishing, playing pitch and spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jerry and Gary, and two sisters, Marjorie and Karen.
She is survived by her children, Casey Lea Dobbs and companion Jason Bewley, of Ava, Winston Scott and Rebecca, Theodosia, and Brandy Scott and husband, Chris Engelhardt, Ava; grandchildren, Bailey and Ashton Bewley, Tristin Engelhardt, and Dylan, David and Riley Scott; two brothers, Ray and Margie Dobbs, Ava, and Larry and Willa Dobbs, Plano, Iowa; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial service was held Tuesday, March 11, at 3 p.m., in the New Hope Cemetery with the Rev. Don Graham officiating. Visitation was from 1 till 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
