A resident of Ava for the past four months Harold Emmett Midcap, the son of Harold E. Midcap Jr. and Eileen (Rios) Gasteiger, was born Sept. 18, 1962 in Covina, Calif., and departed this life March 7, 2008, at the age of 45 years 5 months and 19 days.
Harold was a resident of Ava for the past four months, moving here from Las Vegas, Nev. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for 25 years. On Aug. 16, 1986 Harold and Christina DeWitt were united in marriage in Hemet, Calif. Harold and Christina were blessed with three children. Harold was a member of the Thornfield House of Prayer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, going to the lake and spending time with his friends and family.
Harold was preceded in death by his father, Harold E. Midcap Jr.
His survivors include his wife, Christina, of the home, Ava; three children, Ashley Midcap, Gainesville, Meygan Midcap, Las Vegas, Nev., and Harold E. Midcap IV, of the home, Ava; five siblings, Jamie Midcap, Kelly Chapman, of California, Sammy Penland, state of Ohio, John Bond and Richard Bond, the state of California; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, in the Thornfield House of Prayer with the Rev. Stan Collins officiating. Interment followed in the Thornfield House of Prayer Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
