He loved teasing his grandkids Wilson Eugene Williams, the son of Carl Williams and Bonnie Williams (Fitzgerald), passed away at his home in Springfield, at the age of 67 years, 9 months and 11 days.
Wilson was a retired auto mechanic and lived in Springfield, for 12 years after moving from Ava. He loved to “play cars”, going to eat at Ryan’s, gambling and teasing his grand kids. Wilson ran several game rooms for many years in Ava, Miller, Ozark, Seymour and Gainesville.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Angela Williams, and a brother, Norman Williams.
Wilson is survived by his former wife, Julane Williams, of Ava, and their daughter, Cindy Luttrull, of Springfield; Joyce, Shawna and Belinda Herrell, of the home; two sisters, Roberta Hadeen of Sparta, and Dessie Ludwig, of Ava; five grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
Services will be held on Friday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m., in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Joe Lafferty officiating. Interment will follow at the Smith Chapel Cemetery in Ozark County. A visitation is scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m. today (Thursday).
