He served in US Air Force from 1955 – 1959 Claud James English was born August 18, 1938, to Robert English and Nellie Hoskins in Plad, Mo. and passed away on February 18, 2008, in his home surrounded by family and friends.
Claud was baptized at an early age at the Plad Community Church. He served in United States Air Force from 1955 until 1959 as an Airman Second Class. He served a military tour in Turkey during his time of service.
Claud married Connie Wilson on October 28, 1962, in Carson City, Nevada. Claud and Connie made their home in Douglas County in 1973. They celebrated 45 years of marriage in October 2007.
Claud was a beloved husband, dad, brother, uncle, grandpa and great-grandpa, who loved to fish, bowl, swim, read and spend time with his family.
His father, mother and stepfather, Don Hoskins, and his sister Roberta Yunker preceded Claud in death.
Claud is lovingly survived by his wife, Connie; four children, Christine Bender and husband Christopher, Camarillo, Calif., Geri Mullen, Lee’s Summit, Mo., Crystal Sabas and her husband Ray, Warrensburg, Mo., Chad English and his wife Laverna of Norwood; 12 grandchildren, Jade, Ashley, Stephan, Janell, Brittany, Weston, Cameron, Trystan, Kaci, Dakoda, Savannah and Sydni; 4 great grandchildren, Levi, Hunter, London and Payden; his sister Ramona Pusich and husband John, Camarillo, Calif.; his brothers Daniel English and wife Jimmie, Kenai, Alaska, and Bob English of Porterville, Calif.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be held Saturday February 23, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Skyline Full Gospel with Pastor Wayne Pierson officiating.
