Patsy loved her family and working on the farm Patsy Darlene Lansdown, daughter of Ode M. Whittaker and Goldie Mae (Deckard) Whittaker, was born on Dec. 16, 1938, in McClurg, Mo., and passed away in her home from a long illness on Jan. 9, 2008, at the age of 69 years.
Patsy was a resident of Mansfield area since 1974, moving from Springfield. She was a housewife and homemaker.
On March 2, 1957 Patsy and Floyd Lansdown were united in marriage in Springfield, and to this union three children were born. Patsy enjoyed working on the farm with her husband. She also enjoyed collecting baseball cards, antiquing, auctions and going to yard sales. Patsy loved being with her family and especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd, in 1998; and one brother, Quentin Whittaker.
She is survived by her three children, Mike Lansdown, Mansfield, Michele Lansdown, Athens, Ga., and Joe Lansdown and wife, Jackie, Mansfield; four grandchildren, Jesse, Shelby, Josie and Amos; one sister, Imogene Miller, Antioch, Wash.; and other relatives and friends.
Memorial service for Patsy is Saturday, Jan. 12, at 10 a.m. at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava. The family requests memorials to the donor’s choice of charity. Online condolences may be made to www.clinkingbeardfuneralhome. com.
