A registered medical assistant at Cox in Seymour Kelly Lynn Morpeth, the daughter of Orloff Dale Haden and Judith Wilson Haden, was born June 26, 1966, in Springfield, Mo., and departed this life Jan. 3, 2008 in Ava, at the age of 41 years 6 months and 7 days.
She was a registered medical assistant at the Cox Clinic in Seymour. She was a resident of the Ava community for several years. On Oct. 22, 1983, Kelly and Ed Morpeth were united in marriage at Hammond Mill in Ozark County, and to this union four children were born.
Kelly was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. Kelly, in her early years worked as a cook at the Ava Sugar Shack and later at the Highway House Cafe. She had also worked at the Hutchens Steel. Kelly enjoyed making crafts and camping. She loved being a caretaker to all around her. Her joy was being with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Kelly is survived by her loving husband, Ed Morpeth, of Ava; four children, Valerie Brooke McCoy and husband, Casey, of Fordland, Cory Elizabeth Bengtson and her husband, Andy, of Goodhope, Levi Tobias Morpeth and Alicia Brianna Morpeth, of the home; her mother, Judith (Wilson) Mitchell and husband Norman, of Ava; her father, Orloff Dale Haden, of Ozark; her grandmother, Elizabeth Guthery; two grandchildren, Dane McCoy and Dylan McCoy, of Fordland; two sisters, Kristi Dale Payne, of Ava, and Karolyn Dawn Huff, of Fordland; and many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Service for Kelly were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Barry DeWeese and Leon Turner officiating. Burial followed in Ava Cemetery.
