Her greatest love was her family Mrs. Mary Doris (Riley) Emery, 81, of Searcy, Ark., formerly of Bradford, Ark., died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, at Searcy. She was born on April 4, 1926 at Drury, Mo., the daughter of Thomas and Agnes (Tetrick) Riley.
Mrs. Emery was a homemaker and enjoyed her soap operas. Her greatest love was her family.
Mrs. Emery was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Gray Emery; one son, Eldon Hatfield; one daughter, Judy Hatfield; her parents; three brothers, Amos Riley, Claude Riley and Glen Riley; one sister, Edith Rackley and one granddaughter, Eara Loftin.
She is survived by three sons, Benjy Emery and wife, Kim, of Newark, Ark., Harold Emery and wife, Michelle, of Searcy, Ark., and Walter Emery and wife, Denise, of Bradford, Ark.; three daughters, Daphene Haliburton, of Newport, Ark., Joanna Ervin and husband, Phillip, of Yucaipa, Calif., and Ada Emery, of Tuckerman, Ark.; 17 grandchildren; four step-grand-children; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, at Jackson’s Newport (Ark.) Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Max Davis officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 5-9 p.m.
