Marjorie Davis, 79

A resident of the area for most of her life Marjorie M. Davis, the daughter of Harry Fisher and Olive Irene (Garton) Fisher, was born Aug. 16, 1928, in Scandia, Kan., and departed this life Dec. 14, 2007, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 79 years 3 months and 28 days.

Marjorie was a resident of the area for most of her life. On Nov. 14, 1945, Marjorie and Delmer Davis were united in marriage in Marysville, Kan. Marjorie and Delmer were blessed with six children. Marjorie was a housewife. She was a Christian and was of the Baptist faith. Marjorie enjoyed sewing and embroidering.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delmer; and one son, Douglas.

Her survivors include three sons, Duane Davis, Ava, Danny Davis and wife, Teresa, Ava, and John Davis and wife, Roxann, Wichita, Kan.; two daughters, Linda (Suzy) Robertson and husband, Charles, Ava, and Louella Pratt and husband, Larry, Lebanon; 22 grandchildren; several

great-grandchildren; an aunt, Dorothy Fisher, Courtland, Kan.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, in the Goodhope Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Huskey officiating. Memorials may be made to the Goodhope Cemetery.
