Employed with Rawlings Sporting Goods in Ava for many years Beverly A. Witchey, the daughter of Kenneth Wilson Robinson and Wanetta Maxine (Redding) Robinson, was born Oct. 9, 1940, in Galesburg, Ill., and departed this life Dec. 18, 2007 at the age of 67 years 2 months and 9 days.
Beverly was a resident of Springfield, for the past 121/2 years. She was employed with Rawlings Sporting Goods in Ava, for many years.
Beverly and Robert “Bob” D. Witchey were united in marriage Aug. 30, 1958 in East Moline, Ill. Beverly and Robert were blessed with three children. She loved gardening, especially her flowers. Beverly was lovingly devoted to her family. She attended the Northpoint Assembly of God Church in Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her father, and her husband, Bob.
Her survivors include one daughter, Carrie McIntosh and husband, Jay, Ava; two sons, Ronald Witchey, Moscow, Texas, and Todd Witchey, Livingston, Texas; her mother, Wanetta Maxine Robinson, Springfield; five grandchildren, Elizabeth and husband, Mert Seaton, Elida, Todd Jr. and Josh Witchey, and Dean Pierce; one great-grandson, M.J. Seaton; one sister, Shirley Brown, Springfield; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 21, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with Pastor Eddie Cabrera officiating. Interment will follow in the Whites Creek Cemetery east of Ava. Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. until service time. Memorials may be made to the Whites Creek Cemetery.
