Roger J. Strollo, 63

Born April 20, 1944, in Waterbury, Conn. Roger J. Strollo, 63, of Cheshire, Conn., died with his family by his side on Monday, Oct. 1, 2007 at his home. He was the husband of Joyce J. (Porter) Strollo.

Mr. Strollo was born April 20, 1944, in Waterbury, Conn., the son of the late Theodore and Susanne (Nigro) Strollo.

Mr. Strollo was a longtime resident of Cheshire, graduating Cheshire High School in 1963. He was the owner and operator of Strollo’s Towing Service in Cheshire.

Mr. Strollo was a member and past president of the Towing and Recovery Professionals of Connecticut, a member of the Gravely Tractor Club, and of the Teamsters Local #559. He also served in the National Guard.

Besides his wife of over 30 years, Mr. Strollo is survived by his three sons, Sean Strollo and his wife, Tracy, Mark Strollo, and Bruce Strollo, all of Cheshire, Conn.; a brother, Theodore Strollo Jr., of Manchester; a sister, Suzanne Costa and her husband, Tony, of Oakdale, Conn.; two grandchildren, Roger J. Strollo and Suzann A. Strollo; his mother-in-law, Theta Porter, of Squires; his brother-in-law, Bill Porter, of Squires; his niece, Corey Costa; nephews, Ty Costa, Daniel and David Strollo; his godson, Bryan Strollo; and many other family and friends.

A funeral mass was held on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, Cheshire, Conn., under the direction of Slater Funeral Home, of Cheshire, Conn.
