A homemaker who enjoyed her family Barbara Jean (Selix) Colburn, 74, of Sparta, was born in Colorado Springs, Colo., on June 1, 1933, to Charles and Mae Selix. She departed this world surrounded by her family on Oct. 16, 2007.
Barbara was united in marriage to Othel “Tiny” Colburn on May 26, 1951. Barbara was a homemaker who enjoyed embroidering, her dog, Harley, and making cookies for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, James, and her oldest daughter, Patricia.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Tiny; her daughters, Vonnie Caswell and husband, Leonard, Lorene Coble and husband, Dwain, Karyn Ray, and Katie Cox and husband, Mark; her sons, Justin Colburn and wife, Janie, and Joe Colburn; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, in Fordland Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Anderson officiating.
