A resident of Ava the past 14 years Patricia “Pam” Ann King-Nelson was born May 13, 1938 in Sacramento, Calif., the daughter of Roscoe King and Lois Mae (Bayles) King, and departed this life Sept. 25, 2007, at the age of 69 years 4 months and 12 days.
Pam was a resident of Ava for the past 14 years. On Aug. 24, 1954 Pam and Jimmy Ray Nelson were united in marriage. Mr. Nelson preceded Patricia in death.
Pam was also preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Joshua.
She is survived by a daughter, Darlene Ann Wilson and her husband Larry, Marshfield, and son, Jimmy Ray Nelson Jr. and his wife, Ginger, of Ava; eight grandchildren, Rachel, Mike, Sandra, Jewel, Rebecca, Jacob, Katie and Bobbie; five great-grandchildren, Alena, Sophia, Jordan, Morgan, Joshua; and her best friend, Shirley Miller.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, in Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Francis Humbyrd officiating. Online condolences may be made to www.clinkingbeardfuneralhome. com.
