Gary Wayne Wilson, 65

Served his country with the U.S. Army Gary Wayne Wilson, the son of Roland Wilson and Carrie (Cole) Wilson, was born Dec. 12, 1941 in Roland, Okla., and departed this life Sept. 25, 2007 in Mission, Texas, at the age of 65 years 9 months and 13 days.

Gary was a resident of Mission, Texas since 1984. He was self-employed as an airplane mechanic. On May 24, 1973 Gary and Brenda Paul were united in marriage in Miami, Okla. Gary was blessed with a son, Brian. Gary made a confession of faith in Christ shortly before his death.

Gary loved his family and loved his work. He was a licensed pilot and airplane inspector. Gary served his country with the U.S. Army and served in Germany.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, June; and two brothers, Billy Joe Wilson and Ronald Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda, of the home, Mission, Texas; one son, Brian Wilson and his wife, Robin, of LaVilla, Texas; four sisters, Peggy Hall, Glenda Rowland, Judy Wilson, all of Roland, Okla., and Mary Hamilton, Fort Smith, Ark.; one brother, Bob Wilson, Roland, Okla.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, in Girdner Cemetery with the Rev. Dwight Wilson officiating with full military honors by American Legion Post #112 and VFW Post #5993.
