Of Ava Norma (Daphan) Baker, the daughter of Charles Norman Massey and Ima Faye (Burdan) Massey, was born Jan. 6, 1953, and departed this life Sept. 5, 2007, at the age of 54.
Daphan and Ronald Baker were united in marriage April 23, 1976 in Ava. Daphan was a homemaker and enjoyed playing Yahtzee with her on-line friends.
Daphan was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Charles A. Horvath, and a daughter, Michelle Hensley.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Baker, Cabool; one daughter, Ronda M. Baker, Houston; three stepsons and spouses, Ronnie and Crystal Baker, Cameron, Rodney and Shelley Baker, Excelsior Springs, and Randy and Kathryn Baker, Lawson; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Dianna Riley, Holt; one brother, Jeff Massey, Dora; and a host of other relatives and friends.
