A resident of the Ava area for 11 years Jack Plummer was born on Aug. 17, 1929, in Brooklyn N.Y. He departed this life on Sept. 3, in Las Vegas, Nev.
On Sept. 15, 1953 he married Grace Millsap in Las Vegas Nev. Jack and Grace were residents of the Ava area for 11 years, moving here when they retired. During his time here he made many friends and touched many lives.
A Catholic for his entire life, he attended St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Ava. He was a member of the local Knights of Columbus council, serving a term as Grand Knight. He also spent 61 years with the Boy Scouts as a Life Scout.
While living in Ava he worked at Wal-Mart and Century 21.
He leaves behind a host of friends and family. Surviving him are, his wife, Grace, of the home; daughters Micheline Golden and husband, Ray, of Clovis, Calif., and Jackie Corlis and husband, Chris, of Kingman Ariz.; a son, Zachary Plummer, of Kingman Ariz.; five grandchildren, Asheline Beeson, Chelsea Beeson, and Samantha Golden, all of Clovis Calif., and Brianna Corlis, and Eric Corlis, of Kingman, Ariz.
Funeral services were held on Sept. 10, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Kingman, Ariz., arranged by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.
