Inez Jean Stierlen, 75

Inez moved to the Ava area in 2006 Inez Jean Stierlen, the daughter of John and Pauline Klein, was born on April 10, 1932, in North Dakota, and passed away at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, on July 25, 2007, at the age of 75 years. Inez moved to the Ava area, from Eager, Ariz., in June 2006 for health reasons. Inez was faithful to her Lord.

On Aug. 20, 1967, Inez was united in marriage to Lester Stierlen. This union of two families lasted for 40 years. Inez and Lester enjoyed traveling and visiting family all over the U.S. Inez especially enjoyed cooking, the travel, her family and especially the “wee” ones.

Inez was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Brandner; her parents; two brothers, Walter Klein and Leonard Klein; and three sisters, Ruth Ulrich, Elva Walth, and Ida Slama.

She is survived by her husband, Lester, of the home; two sons and their families, Donald and wife, Jan, of Grand Forks, N.D., and Randy and wife, Cecelia, of Miami, Ariz.; one daughter, Paula and husband, Ron Welch, of Eager, Ariz.; three stepdaughters, Judy and husband, Lloyd (Skeeter) Bastin, of Ava, Kathleen and husband, Robert Potter, of Ava, and Leslie Gale and husband, Dennis Johnson, of Williams, Minn. In addition, she is survived by 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, along with a host of other close family and friends.

Memorial services were held at Girdner Church on Saturday, July 28, with services to also be held in Eager, Ariz.
