A resident of Mansfield Rose Marie Jones, daughter of George Howard Phillips Sr. and Florence C. Binner Phillips, was born on Oct. 22, 1957, in Silver Creek, N.Y., and passed away on July 1, 2007, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, at the age of 49.
Rose was a resident of Mansfield. She was a Christian.
She enjoyed camping, doing Bible studies on television and being together with Rick and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Joe Jones; a sister, Mary; and a child.
She is survived by her seven children; her companion, Rick Eckles, Mansfield; four brothers, George Phillips Jr., Ava, Larry Phillips, Mtn. Grove, Donald Phillips, Ava, and Wallace McCarthy, Laughton, Okla.; two sisters, Charolette Schifferle, East Pembroke, N.Y., and Tessie Miller, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside service was held Tuesday, July 3, at 3 p.m., at the Murray Cemetery, with the Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating. Services were conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava. Online condolences may be made to www.clinkingbeardfuneralhome. com.
