Served his country in the U.S. Army Ernest Craig (Ernie) Williams, 41, of Battlefield, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007.
He was born June 4, 1965, in Wichita, Kan., the son of Charles and Shirley Williams. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
On April 12, 1997, he and Sheryl Lynn Taylor were married. Ernie was a member of Nixa General Baptist Church and Henderson Lodge #477 AF&AM in Rogersville. He was employed as a delivery driver and safety trainer for Springfield Grocer Company.
Ernie loved his family and spending time with them, and enjoyed his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Sheryl; a daughter, Rebecca Williams, of the home; his mother, Shirley Brixey, Springfield; a brother, Ed Williams and wife, Sonja, Seymour; a sister, Sylvia McClellan and husband, Joe, Willow Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
His father preceded him in death.
A funeral and Masonic service was held at 9 a.m. Monday in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Bob Comer officiating. Burial was at 1 p.m. Monday in Denlow Cemetery, in Douglas County.
