Daniel A. Bergeson, 29

A talented guitarist, he had a lifelong love of music Daniel A. Bergeson, of Springfield, died on May 17, 2007 from a colloid brain cyst. He was born May 15, 1978 in Branson, and attended Farmington schools.

Daniel was the son of Larry and June Bergeson, of Springfield. He was formerly married to Jennifer Gisler. He is also survived by his sister, Leatta and her husband Edward Workman, of Neosho, and their children Grace, Hannah and Corrine.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Leatta Fleming, formerly of Ava, and Charles and Mary Bergeson, formerly of Rockford, Ill. He will be interred next to Donald and Leatta Fleming at Brushy Knob Cemetery east of Ava, as he had requested.

Daniel had a lifelong love of music and was a talented guitarist. He adored his nieces and was anticipating the homecoming of his newly adopted niece and nephew. Daniel used his experiences to try to help others and was known as a great listener and a comfort to those in need.

The cyst was discovered in the ER on the morning of his 29th birthday and he never regained consciousness.

Services were held at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava, on Saturday May 19, at 2 p.m., with visitation at 1 p.m. The family requests that contributions be made in his memory to the Golden Avenue Baptist Church’s Building Fund, 558 South Golden Avenue, Springfield, MO 65802.
